Along with
Backspin productions, the celebrated B-boy/B-girl crew is going to bring four days of festivities to the New York City and New Jersey area from July 27 to July 30.
Big Daddy Kane,
GZA and
Masta Killah of the
Wu-Tang Clan,
Large Professor,
Rhymefest and the
Beat Nuts are among the invited MCs that will help the Rock Steady Crew celebrate their 29th anniversary. In addition to the aforementioned MCs, the anniversary celebration should attract deejays, B-boys/B-girls and over 20,000 hip hop supporters from around the world.
An underground celebrity basketball game, free outdoor concert and an invitation-only B-boy/B-girl battle are set to be among the included activities to celebrate the Rock Steady Crew’s near 30 years of impact on hip hop culture.
Crazy Legs, The Rock Steady Crew President, also serves as the host and organizer for the annual Rock Steady anniversary. He is especially excited about this year’s celebration and the people it’s bound to attract.
“This is a pilgrimage for all,” Crazy Legs said in a statement sent to
