The Dream Girls soundtrack, slated for a December release, features a number of records cut by the songbird-turned-Hollywood presence, including the LP’s first single, “Listen.”
right "It's a ballad, it's got a big orchestra, so it's totally different for her and for the radio and MTV and everybody — it's gonna be exciting," said Harvey Mason Jr. to MTV.com. Mason, a member of the Underdogs production duo, helmed the album’s six-month preparation process.
"That's gonna be a big, big record."
Recently, burgeoning anticipation over the December premiere of Dream Girls led to an internet leak of the single “One Night Only” sung by Beyonce via Deena Jones-- her film persona.
In the screen adaptation of the Tony award-winning musical, Beyonce plays a member of an all-female singing group who ousts lead singer Effie White as the group is launched into unforeseen stardom and bouts of egotism.
American Idol’s Jennifer Hudson who also takes a lead role on the soundtrack singing solo on the tune “Love You I Do,” plays the burned group vocalist.

I loved dream girls....i think beyonce was horrible as she is in every movie she's in...the movie would have been a definite flop without eddie and jennifer...i also think jamie foxx did a phenominal job although he didn't get very good ratings.

Jennifer spills out a completely different melody then any other singer that has ever existed. She was the only reason why I ever wanted to go see the movie Dream Girls, which was an amazing movie. Jennifer Hudson is going to win an Oscar.

Dream Girls was such a good movie. It not only lived up to the media hype but it blow my mind a way. Jennifer Hudson song Jennifer Holidays "And I Am Telling You" and brought the house down. She is very very Under Rated in this movie. She is a great actor. Her performance speak for its self. After watching this movie she will not be forgotten. This is a movie i would pay to watch again.

Listen.... everyone was absolutely correct in all of their comments on Dreamgirls. It was one of the best movies that I have ever seen. The entire movie audience was at awe the entire time... including the lil ones. Beyonce's song Listen was wonderful and received an applause as well as after Jennifer's great solo performance. I could go on and on... but the movie was soooo very good. I was so very proud of Jennifer's entire performance.

I took my husband to see Dream Girls. It was amazing to age range of "movie go'rs". Everyone is sooooo right, Jennifer Hudson sings her heart out!!!!!
It was awhsome to hear young people, I mean small kids cheer, and applause in the theather. These were kids at some points I thought, oh no they will be to
noicy, but they were spellbound.
The movie is empowering to and for women that have the God Given gift of music and what can / did happen when other things get in the way.

I saw dream girls with my wife and other family members. I was originaly going to see the Pursuit of Happiness. However the consensus was to see Dream Girls. "OH MY GOD" I am so glad I did. This movie was outstanding. The acting, the singing and was just so above the norm. Jennifer Hudson (my new favorite) was, here me folks; "incredible". In fact, after the song she sanged at a pivotal part of the movie. (You have to go see it to know. Wink, Wink) The whole enitre theater clapped, and hollered for several minutes. I plan on seeing this movie over and over again. Good job cast and crew.

Dreamgirls was soooooo good. All of the acting was superb. Beyonce really surprised me with how good she was, and all of the other actors were really believable in their roles. The best performance came from Jennifer Hudson in my opinion. For someone who has never acted before, she did a great job. Her voice... flawless. I love her. I just wish that the media would talk more about the other fine actors that were in the film-- Danny Glover, Anika Noni Rose, and Keith Robinson-- as much as they do B, Jamie, and Eddie. I really hope Jennifer gets that Golden Globe and is nominated for an Oscar. She deserves it!
