Flavor Of Love Debut Breaks VH1 Records
right The second season’s debut episode drew 3.3 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research,—the largest premier audience in the history of VH1. The Sunday launch beat out every other show on cable in the same 10 p.m. time slot, including a new episode of HBO’s Entourage (2.4 million).
Those who tuned in got an eye full. Two contestants on the show got the catfighting started early this year, prompting Flav to yell, “Yo! This ain’t The Flavor Springer Show!,” while another young lady literally pooped on the floor.
But this isn’t the first time Flavor Flav’s show has gone down in VH1 record books. Six million people watched last season’s finale, making it the top-rated telecast in VH1 history.
