"Leukemia has taken so many lives including my sister's who has been gone for over a year now," he added, "And even though we didn’t find a match for her, we want people to know that this is bigger than one person and that we will continue to get the word out there to try to help save as many lives as we can."
right As if saving lives wasn't a big enough task,
Nelly took time out to perform for his fans during the Boost Mobile RockCorps concert last Saturday (Sept. 23), stating "I wasn’t even scheduled to be a part of this event, but after learning what it’s all about, I had to be here."
Nelly, who's not only working on his own project, plus those of
Ali & Gipp, Avery Storm, and
Murphy Lee, also launched his AppleBottoms children's line earlier this year. "Our Children’s line has taken off faster than our Junior line has," said
Nelly.
"We’re doing a lot of ads as far as showing fathers with their daughters," he explained. "I’ve done an ad like that myself.
Jermaine [Dupri] and his daughter will be doing an ad as well, Ali and his daughter, Gipp and his daughter. We want to show that there are fathers out there that do give a damn about their children."
Nelly's untitled album is slated for a late '07 release.

Go Nelly! I love Nelly, I am a fan for life. Since the first time I saw his advertisement in Vibe just before his first hit, hit the airwaves I was in love with his look. But over the years just getting to know him through interviews live and in magazines, I see that he is a real genuine guy. He appears to be sweet, respectful and appreciative for his fans. So, may GOD continue to BLESS his success. I am so sorry for the lost of his sister nothing can replace her life. But, he has continued to help people who still need donors and that is a Blessing. So, you go Nelly, you're my baby for life! Ok, Ashanti's baby and it would be nice if they are engaged-they make such a cute couple and would have beautiful babies! GOD BLESS
