And new business it is. Earlier this year,
Fabolous posted an unofficial ad on his myspace page asking aspiring producers to send in tracks to be considered for placement on his next album. And though the amount of submissions he received was overwhelming, Fab assures "it was very helpful."
right "They [the producers who submitted] may not be on
MTV or BET, but they are really handling their business,"said Fab during an exclusive
Vibe.com one-on-one. "Even if those tracks don't make the album, some of them may make it to the mix-tape."

The untitled album, which officially features production from
Just Blaze,
Jazze Pha and
Kanye West, to name a few, was slated for a December 2006 release, but has since been pushed back to February 2007, "due to contractual concern."
"The official label situation is
Def Jam. I’m no longer on Atlantic," explained Fab. "There’s no hard feeling, it’s just that the relationship over there got sour, so now I’ve moved and it’s time to make some new business."
