Jadakiss Pleads Not Guilty, Posts Bail
right According to MTV news, Jada appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property, which are both felonies. He also has a misdemeanor marijuana-possession charge pending from the incident, according to the Westchester County DA's office.
The Lox lyricist, born Jason Phillips, was arrested Saturday after police allegedly found a loaded handgun and marijuana inside of his car during a traffic stop.
In a phone interview with New York radio station Hot 97, Jadakiss said he was doing “fine” and denied all of the charges.
During the conversation with the station’s first lady, Angie Martinez, he proclaimed: "I was outside the car. The car was locked. You figure it out. I should have been home sleeping, getting ready to do the 'VH1 Hip Hop Honors' with Styles P. Instead, I was in the 'hood, being a knucklehead."
The rapper is due back in court on October 20th.
