“He had a collapsible baton, and it is classified as a dangerous weapon,” Jim Amormino, Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman, told The Associated Press. right Snoop had the baton in his laptop case as he went through a security checkpoint at John Wayne International Airport on September 27, but told authorities that it was a prop for a movie he was filming in New York and that he had no idea that it was an illegal item. According to eonline.com, the baton was confiscated and Snoop was allowed to board his flight without being cited. The Orange County sheriff’s office is still investigating the case. This isn’t, however, the first time that Snoop’s gotten into trouble at the airport. In May, Snoop accepted responsibility for using “threatening words or behavior” during an April incident at Heathrow Airport in London, reports the AP. He along with five other members of his entourage were arrested on charges of violent disorder and starting a brawl after some of Snoop’s crew were denied access to British Airways’ first-class lounge. Seven police offers were injured during the melee, and Snoop was permanently banned from traveling on the airline.
