left Along with music, iTunes Latino will feature top Latin television shows, audiobooks, podcasts and music videos. iTunes Latino will also provide exclusive songs, videos, and EP’s from some of the top Latin acts in the world, including Daddy Yankee, David Bisbal and Marco Antonio Solis. More than 50 Latin compilations will be made available, as will Latin-themed celebrity playlists.
Apple’s Vice President of iTunes, Eddy Cue, is thrilled to expand his company’s emphasis on Latin music, which has become a staple in American pop culture. "We're thrilled to offer customers their favorite Latin music and video programming with iTunes Latino," he says. “Latin music has been a huge hit on iTunes and now we're bringing music fans even more of what they love in a dedicated area on the iTunes Store."
This is just the latest highlight of what has been a big year for Apple and iTunes. A new version of the iTunes software was made available in September, and new versions of the iPod are in stores now. Apple also has increased its selection of television shows and movies through deals with production companies and film studios.
Songs on iTunes Latino will cost 99 cents. Television shows will be sold for $1.99.
