According to Variety, DreamWorks and Paramount will display the film in a roadshow to be held in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco for $25 per reserved seat. left Originally, roadshows featured the marketed film once or twice a day to audience members who reserved seats, and admission prices were more expensive than those films shown as regular attractions, much like a theater production. However, the Dreamgirls roadshow will have neither an intermission, nor commercials or trailers before the film, reports Variety. The roadshow kicks off Dec. 15 at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, New York's Zeigfeld Theater and the Metreon in San Francisco. It will run 10 days, with one show per night and matinees added on the weekends. The Dreamgirls soundtrack, which includes several tunes not found on the original Broadway recording, will arrive in stores three weeks before the nationwide screen debut.
