Fantasia To Drop Sophomore Album

The first single off of Fantasia titled “Hood Boy,” features Big Boi from Outkast and has already logged nearly 100,000 plays on her MySpace page. The funky number will be featured on Yahoo! Music, as Fantasia will be the site’s “Get Your Freak On” artist in December. left Production on the album will be handled by Dre & Vidal, Swizz Beats, Kwame, Babyface, and Missy Elliot, who wrote and produced three songs on Fantasia’s debut, the platinum-selling Free Yourself. Fantasia is most connected to “I Feel Beautiful,” her collaboration with Babyface dedicated to her late mother. “The lyrics on that song are very emotional for me,” Fantasia says. “And when I recorded it, I just broke down at the end.” Fantasia hopes this record is a successful as Free Yourself, which debuted at the top of the Billboard Top 100. Fantasia is due in stores December 12.
