left The City of Refuge hosted a Thanksgiving Luncheon for homeless shelter residents yesterday (Nov. 21) at 7303 Studios, owned by Houston’s recording guru Ronnie Bookman. Bookman and his volunteers, which included many of Houston’s rising hip hop stars, catered to the shelter residents, providing food for those in attendance. "Everybody should be able to have a Thanksgiving and anything I can do to make that possible for others is an honor,” Bookman said. Many of Houston’s hip hop elite--including 7303 Records, Mike Jones & Ice Age Entertainment, Lil Flip, On the Level Promotions, Lights Camera Action (LCA), Promo Princess, Elite Records, and 7303 Records’ artists J.V & Y-D, Kiotti, D-Gotti, D.J Chill, D.J Jack Frost, and D.J Goldie--pledged money, resources and their time to the event.
