Jigga Takes Over MTV

The network announced a platform of Jay-Z programming involving MTV, MTV2 and MTV.com. Today, MTV.com launched jay-z.mtv.com, a new Jay-Z fan site. The site will include a “Video Vault Experience,” which will chronicle Hov’s career using all of Jigga’s videos, MTV interviews and unreleased interviews. MTV.com, along with MTV, will also provide updates of Jay’s “Hangar Tour,” in which he will play eight cities on November 18. left Sunday, November 19, will be JAY-Z DAY on MTV 2. The network will play Jay-Z videos all day, along with other Jay-Z programming. MTV2 will also air a Jay-Z concert from Royal Albert Hall in London. That day, both MTV and MTV2 will air “Diary of Jay-Z: Water for Life”, a documentary on water shortages across the country. The documentary is part of Jigga’s work with UNICEF to raise awareness of the world’s water crisis. Monday, one day before Kingdom Come hits stores, Jay will appear on TRL on MTV. Also MTV is running a sweepstakes called “The Jay-Z Platinum Experience.” Contest entrants could win a private helicopter trip to New York City, a tour of the Island Def Jam offices, a personalized Jay-Z platinum album, tickets to see the New Jersey Nets, and more.
