Katt Williams Released from Jail, Talks About New DVD
Williams, 35, born Micah S. Katt Williams, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, November 7 after being stopped at an airport security checkpoint. The comedian was taken to a local police station and charged with illegal possession of a firearm.
left When released this morning and asked about his experience, Williams said, “It was jail. I don’t
recommend it on the day your DVD comes out," making reference to his DVD, The Pimp Chronicles, pt. 1, which was released the same day.
“Oh well. They can postpone us, but they can’t stop us. The Pimp Chronicles Vol. 2. Coming to a store near you, or a jail,” Williams said while leaving the L.A. County jail, on his way to the BET Awards.
The DVD, in stores now, features special appearances from Snoop Dogg, Lil Jon and Anthony Anderson.
“You’re buying my DVD and helping me get out. I appreciate you posting my bail for me,” Williams
said with humor.
Williams, who is also an actor, is best known for his role as of "Money Mike" in the 2002 movie Friday After Next” starring Ice Cube.
