Shayman, 26, was living in Brooklyn (NY). Born in St. Louis but raised in Ann Arbor, MI, Disco D began DJing at the age of 16. By the time he landed his most famous beat, for 50 Cent ("Ski Mask Way" from 2005's The Massacre)," Shayman had close to a decade of experience as a DJ and personality in Detroit's ghettotech scene, alongside such giants as DJ Assault, DJ Godfather, and Mr. De. More recently, he created the baile funk-inspired track "Popozao" for Kevin Federline; produced beats for Trick Daddy ("I Pop") and Lil Scrappy ("Right Away"); and remixed Crime Mob, and the electro-rock band Shiny Toy Guns. He also composed music for a number of television shows, including the original theme for the 2006 broadcast of VH-1's Hip-Hop Honors. Details about Shayman's death are not currently known. An official statement is expected later today. CHECK OUT VIBE'S DISCO D PLAYLIST:
