Mary J. Blige Wins Three Grammys

However, the singer lost out to Dixie Chicks for Album of the Year.

Mary J. Blige was honored with three awards at last night's Grammys for her 2005 album, The Breakthrough. And while she didn't win Album of the Year at the 49th annual ceremony - that honor went to Texan twangers the Dixie Chicks - she did manage to pick up the trophies for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance (for "Be Without You"), Best R&B Song (ditto), and Best R&B Album.
