Bobby Brown Free After Paying Child Support
Brown spent three nights in the clink before paying $19,000 in late child support payments.
Bobby Brown was released last night from the Norfolk County Jail after paying $19,000 in back child support fees. He was arrested Saturday in Massachusetts at his daughter's high school cheerleading competition for previously failing to pay Kim Ward, the mother of two of his teen children, and spent three nights in jail.
According to Phaedra Parks, Atlanta Attorney, Brown was failing to meet the payments because they were too high, set in place when he was at the peak of his career. "Although this agreement was put in place when he was Bobby Brown the star, this agreement is being enforced when he is not always able to find work. He hasn't made an album in quite some years."
Last October, Brown paid Ward $11,000 in child support after a Massachusetts judge told Brown he would be arrested if he ever stepped foot in the state again. Brown is a native of Boston and two of his three children live in the state with Ward.
