Grey's Shonda Rimes, Ugly Betty's Silvio Horta among those honored at the 38th Annual Image Awards

The 38th Annual NAACP Image Awards honored VIBE cover star Mary J Blige for Outstanding Female Artist and Best Video ("Be Without You") in a star-studded, LL Cool J-hosted ceremony in Los Angeles Friday night.

Blige's fellow honorees in the music category included Prince (Best Male Artist), The Roots (Best Group), India.Arie (Best Song - "I Am Not My Hair") and Corinne Bailey Rae (Best New Artist). And, oh yeah, the Dreamgirls soundtrack, which took best album and garnered Jennifer Hudson another award for Best Supporting Actress. Meanwhile, in the television category, it was Grey's Anatomy's game, with honors going to Isaiah Washington (Best Actor), Chandra Wilson (Best Supporting Actress), creator Shonda Rimes and the show itself (Best Drama). The plucky Ugly Betty won for Outstanding Comedy, while Tracee Ellis Ross and Reggie Hayes swept for their comedic leading roles in Girlfriends.
