The 50th Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade goes down June 10 in NYC.

Ricky Martin, ex-Menudo boy wonder and present boricuan pop man-hunk, has been chosen to lead the 50th annual Puerto Rican Day Parade in NYC. He was crowned King not only for his renown as PR's all-time best-selling musician, but for his charitable work across the world. "I am honored and very humbly accept the invitation to participate in the 50th anniversary of the national Puerto Rican parade," said Martin in a press release. According to the parade committee president Madelyn Lugo, he earned the honor because "He has always expressed his pride as a Puerto Rican and a Latino. He has served as one of our greatest ambassadors, and we can't think of a better role model to honor as the King of the Parade." The National Puerto Rican Pride Day Parade is scheduled for June 10 in New York City.
