C-Murder Makes First Hometown Appearance Since Coming Home

The rapper's first-ever book signing this Saturday in New Orleans.

This Saturday, C-Murder will make his first public appearance in New Orleans since coming home from his four-year incarceration. "I'm real excited about the book signing and especially setting it off in New Orleans," said Cee. "To give back to my community here and generate revenue to a black-owned business is so important - after all, we've all been through so much. I can't wait to meet and my greet all my fans." C-Murder will sign copies of his book, Death Around the Corner (VIBE Street Lit) at the Community Book Center, 2523 Bayou Road, New Orleans, on May 5 from 2-4 pm. Local radio station Q93 FM is helping promote the event, and lots of special guests are expected to pass through and wish Cee well with his new venture into the literary arena. Community Book Center is a story in itself. Devastated during Hurricane Katrina, this historic, black-owned bookstore has only recently reopened. The C-Murder book event, which falls during the second weekend of this year's New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, is a celebration of resurrection and redemption. Talked to C after this book signing. He was really excited about it. You can see pics of it by visiting the website for Conversations Book Club at http://www.thebestbookclub.info. We will be hosting a live Q&A with C-Murder about the book in Mississippi via conference call later in July.

Hey C, I do agre that we should not celebrate murder. I also agree that every man deserves to be forgivien. For some of the ignorant comments that you receive, don't sweat it. I just pray that somewhere in your heart that you have repented and desire to serve mankind. Much love

I am so glad to hear that he is out of jail, presuming he's innocent. Now since monica is rumored to be broken up with her fiancee, he and her can now continue their romance.

The fact that this is even being reported shows how warped black-American culture is. This man is a MURDERER. He renamed him self "C-MURDER". Stop blaming whitey for your problems when you are celebrating and idolizing this MURDERER. It is no wonder that the leading cause of death for black males under 50 is homicide (that means MURDER). The childishness of the black community leaves me speechless. Please don't threaten to MURDER me, I'm just exercising my right to free speech.
