The rapper's first-ever book signing this Saturday in New Orleans.

This Saturday, C-Murder will make his first public appearance in New Orleans since coming home from his four-year incarceration. "I'm real excited about the book signing and especially setting it off in New Orleans," said Cee. "To give back to my community here and generate revenue to a black-owned business is so important - after all, we've all been through so much. I can't wait to meet and my greet all my fans." C-Murder will sign copies of his book, Death Around the Corner (VIBE Street Lit) at the Community Book Center, 2523 Bayou Road, New Orleans, on May 5 from 2-4 pm. Local radio station Q93 FM is helping promote the event, and lots of special guests are expected to pass through and wish Cee well with his new venture into the literary arena. Community Book Center is a story in itself. Devastated during Hurricane Katrina, this historic, black-owned bookstore has only recently reopened. The C-Murder book event, which falls during the second weekend of this year's New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, is a celebration of resurrection and redemption.
