Fat Joe Sought As Shooting Witness

Rapper may have been present at murder of two men in Miami.

Fat Joe was riding in the same Escalade as two men murdered in Miami on Memorial Day, according to the Miami Beach police department, and cops are now searching for him as a witness. Around 5:30 am Monday, Lessli Paz, 25, of New York, and Joey Navarro, 26, of Homestead, were shot and killed after a verbal and physical altercation in the parking lot of a South Beach cafe. Police arrested Jermaine Chamberline, 24, as he tried to flee the scene, on charges of second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Chamberline later confessed to the shootings, according to the Associated Press. Initially, eight people were taken into custody. According to reports, four of those people were on the scene, stating they were friends of the victims, but allegedly changed their story after police took them in to custody, according to spokesman Sgt. Michael Hernandez. He later said those people cooperated with authorities and were released Monday evening. "If [Fat Joe] is a witness, we'd love to speak with him," Hernandez told the AP.
