Troy Cle, whose fantasy book series The Marvelous World has been characterized as the "Black Harry Potter," is transforming Harlem's Hue-Man Bookstore into a magical landscape of his own making tonight. Combining the book's themes of hip-hop, video games, Nascar and anime (and saving the world, of course), Cle will read, conjure and yarn-spin his way through an excerpt at 6 pm.
The Marvelous World revolves around young heroes Louis and Lacey Proof, cousins whose superpowers take them to the center of the earth in an effort to save the planet from the evil Crims and master Galonious. Released this summer, it's the Black Harry Potter, the Hip-Hop Hobbit, and like old Harry P, more folks than just middle schoolers are getting in for this one.
Hue-Man Bookstore is located at 2319 Frederick Douglass Blvd, between 124th and 125th, Harlem, (212) 665-7400.

Why! Hasn't anyone mentioned the fact of the Vick dog fighting and compared it to house racing. You take houses and you raise and breed them to be winners and when they don't win or the get hurt the owners usally takes them out back and kills them and this is a house not a dumb dog and still we over look this " probably because the white mans okay with it all " just a comment " darryl
