Keyshia Cole Signs on for "The Way it Is: Season 2"

Part two of Cole's BET reality show will preview second album.

Keyshia Cole and BET have inked a deal for the second season of "The Way It Is," the intimate reality show focusing on the singer, her family and her career. Cole and her manager, Manny Halley, will serve as executive producers, Halley confirmed to VIBE today. The series is scheduled to air on BET this fall. In the first installment of "The Way It Is," fans saw Cole as she navigated her way through the music industry and recorded the vocals for future hit "Last Night," with Diddy - and we got an intimate look at Cole's personal life, including a teary reunion with her mother, Frankie, at a prison in California. Now, her mother is home, and will be reunited with Cole. The show will also feature more of Cole's sister, Neffe, and preview her second album, Just Like You, out this fall. When the series first debuted July 12, 2006, Reginald Hudlin, President of BET, said, "This is not a modern-day Cinderella tale; this is the story of a talented young survivor that is teaching our youth how to cope with a struggling childhood and still come out on top."
