Tupac, Biggie, even DMX have an ode to their own lyrical greatness with the inevitable greatest hits compilation, and now Nas is gearing up to drop his own.
Queensbridge's sometimes-lone lyrical star is set to release his as-yet-to-be-titled greatest hits album this November. The album will feature two newly recorded songs, including the single "Less Than Hour" featuring Cee-Lo. "Hour" is set to appear on the Rush Hour 3 soundtrack.
Nas popped up in the game in 1991, on Main Source's "Live at the Barbeque" with the now iconic line: "When I was twelve I went to hell for snuffin' Jesus."
He's since dropped the classic debut Illmatic and seven other studio albums - some commercial, some not. His latest, 2006's Hip Hop Is Dead, featured the hit title single produced by go-to beatmaker Will.I.Am, and "Black Republicans," featuring Nas' former nemesis Jay-Z.
