September 11: The day 50 Cent and Kanye West and Kenny Chesney all release their much-anticipated albums, in a climb to the top of the Billboard charts that no self-respecting sherpa would dare scale. A recap in case you have been living with said sherpas: the release-day face-off has been exhaustive from jump. 50's pulled typically savvy moves like... hosting a gang of cable shows the weekend prior to the release (on Starz Edge & Starz in Black)... dropping a dollar-sign-addled video like a true agitator ("I Get Money")... and leaking his album the same day as 'Ye. West, on the other hand, just slid on the venetian-blind stunnas and for the most part played it as cool as he is humanly capable.
But 50's a hustla, homie, and he's not about to be trumped at his own game. So on the few days after the release of Curtis, our man will tour the five boroughs to prove that, while he may not technically live there, he still runs New York.
