Two hot remixes of your girl's apres-club number. Plus: Irv Gotti tells VIBE he never hit.

So for someone who's been so MIA for a minute, Ashanti is all over lately - on magazine covers, on the web and, well... at awards shows? Maybe people are fiinally just sick of looking at Beyonce and Rihanna and Britney and decided to go in for the throwback jam - old reliable, is what we like to call it. At any rate, this cute 7 Aurelius remix of Ashanti's "Hey Baby (After the Club)" is giving us palpitations - and just cause we can, an older remix by DJ Phinesse done in Baltimore club style.

­ And in Ashanti-related news - remember the rumor that Irv Gotti told Wendy Williams that he and Ashanti were "onsmash.com"? Well, in an interview with VIBE's Keith Murphy last week, Gotti denied the rumors and updated the status of Ashanti's next album. Witness:

VIBE: Now, Irv, you've seen the new cover of KING, you’ve seen your girl Ashanti on it. First of all, what is the relationship now like? Is she gonna release an album on Murder Inc.?
IRV GOTTI: A: Yeah, she's releasing an album on Murder Inc. With the relationship, I'm like kinda like Lyor Cohen now. You understand how I used to just go and make records? Now I'm bringing the Lyor. You know, even if I said yo, this is what I wanna do and he'd put the records out, he pushed it. That's kind of the role  I was forced into with her, because she wanted to do her own thing. She felt she'd outgrown Murder Inc. and she felt she'd outgrown the label and didn't want to be a part of the things that we were doing. She felt that it was bringing her down. You know, she was like, she wants to do her own thing, which is all good. So, the only role that I have is to sit back and she brings me the records and I say "I like it" or "I don't like it." Or, after I weigh my opinion, she goes, "Hey, I don't care if you don't like it. I feel like it's a hit. I gotta put it out."

But of course, there's an underlying thing going on when you, of course, came on the Wendy Williams show and made those remarks about her. I'm sure that didn't help either, right?
But listen, did you hear the actual show? Did I say out of my mouth that I fucked Ashanti?

No, you didn't actually say it, no.
Aight, so this is what I want people to get and what I want people to understand. You know who Wendy Williams is, right? You know who she is, right? We all know who she is, and what does Wendy do? Wendy plays on the gossip. Wendy sat there and said, "Hey Irv, I heard you take care of your whole family." I said, "Yeah, I take care of my mom, my dad, I take care of all my brothers and sisters, whoever needs help, I'm there for them." And she flies, "Oh, so you take care of Ashanti, too?" And I said, "Oh," and like a sign like, "Come on, man, why we getting into this?  You know what I'm saying? Like take off the bullshit." [She's like,] I'll take that as a yes. So its like, I don't know what to say to that! I never said that I slept with Ashanti. Wendy said it. And maybe I never denied it or whatever, but I'm on Wendy Williams, yo! If I sit there and I go, "Wendy, I didn't do that," you know what she's gonna do? That's all she's gonna talk about. I'm never gonna talk about my show, yo. (laughs) So, it's like, when she did that, I said, "Alright, there it is, let's move on!"

Then I go on the Internet and all I see is, "Irv Gotti's fucking Ashanti. He puts her on blast." I'm like, "What the fuck is this, yo?" Like, I never said that! Wendy said that, and that's what Wendy does, yo!
