T.I. Denied Bail... Again

T.I. plead for his release on bail today (October 19) in US Ditrict court, but was denied, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He is scheduled for another hearing next Friday, where the judge will reconsider the ruling. Said Judge Alan Baverman, "I haven't decided on releasing him yet. I just haven't heard the conditions yet and I'm not satisifed."

T.I. was arrested last Saturday after he was accused of attempting to buy illegal machine guns. It was also revealed in the hearing that the rapper had been carrying a half-pound of weed in his car when he was ambushed in an ATF sting set up by his bodyguard.

T.I.'s lawyers had suggested to Judge Baverman that he should be released on $2.2 million bail, along with the equity from two of his homes and independent bonds from his record label. They also said T.I. would be confined to his home upon release, with 24-hour electronic and human monitoring.

Judge Baverman said he needed more information, including a list of people who would be allowed access to the home while TI was there. But he did say that Tip's lawyers had done a good job showing his dedication as a citizen, and that he was "exceptionally generous and has reached out to the community, particularly the community of the underprivileged with great generosity," said Baverman.

See All: T.I.,
