Tip was released from jail this morning on $3 million bail, with the stipulation that he would stay on house arrest, pay for his own 24-hour GPS monitoring service, not have any guns or make contact with witnesses or informants in his case.
T.I. plead innocent to charges that he had attempted to purchase three illegal machine guns and two silencers, but initially the Federal Magistrate Judge Alan Baveman felt he did not have enough evidence to let Tip free. Today, however, he let him go, yet put stringent restrictions on the rapper, and told Tip, "You shouldn't do anything that will undermine [your lawyers'] ability to represent you," according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
If convicted, TI could serve 10 years, and pay $250,000 for each charge.
