In other American Gangster related news, the soundtrack to the movie - not Jay's soundtrack, but the original motion picture one - is out, too, and shouldn't be overlooked just because of the Jay-Z version. The OST not only features a nice crop of classic and new R&B - Staple Singers, Bobby Womack, Anthony Hamilton - but half of it was produced by the legendary Hank Shocklee from Public Enemy. Need we say more?
