Atlanta celebs celebrate Keri Hilson’s 25th birthday bash

Flashback to the jheri curls, rainbow-plastic bangles, door-knocker earrings, acid-wash jeans, and Members Only snap-collar jackets. On Saturday (December 8), Ms. Marty Mcfly, a.k.a. Keri Hilson of Timbaland’s Zone 4/Mosley Music Group, took it all the way “back to the future” for her '80s flashback birthday bash hosted by Polow Da Don.

Keri took center stage at the event, channeling her inner Michael Jackson, while rocking the traditional spandex garb underneath a Members Only jacket. Polow Da Don, Cee-Lo, Jazzy Pha, Young Jeezy, Nelly, Jermaine Dupri, Johnta Austin, Bone Crusher, Diamond (formerly of Crime Mob), Jlack, Bobby Valentino, Jagged Edge, and Chamillionaire were all in the building showing their love and support for Hilson. Hilson, who has written songs for Ciara, Usher, Chris Brown and Justin Timberlake, among others, became a household face after her appearance on Timbaland’s summer banger “The Way I Are.”

Polow Da Don hosted the bash, and he a lot to say about his impact on the industry in 2007, as well as working with Keri.

“I’d describe Keri as an artist just like I’d describe her as a person,” Polow, who wore a green track-suit, said, “as being beautiful, passionate, and very sincere.”

“Like I said in the beginning of ‘07, I’m going to bring good music back. Right now music is great, and I think I started it off. I took a chance on doing real music, when not-so-real music was winning,” he added.

As a parting gift, Keri and her people handed out bootleg mixes on cassette - but unlike those once-beloved tapes, Keri Hilson’s musical life is just beginning.
