After Yung Joc's arrest on felony gun charges, the rapper was scheduled to appear in a Cleveland court Wednesday (December 26) for his arraignment. After Joc didn't show, the judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest and doubled his bond to $100,000. However, Joc appeared a few hours late and, after chiding him for his tardiness, he freed him on bond and scheduled his next court date for January 25.
On Sunday (December 23), the 27-year-old Atlanta rapper was arrested at a security checkpoint at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport after police found a semiautomatic weapon in his carryon bag. Joc told cops he didn't know the weapon was there, and he was released Monday (December 24) on $50,000 bond. When Joc initially never showed in court Wednesday, his attorney, Stanley Jackson Jr., apologized and told the court his client was out of town on family business, according to the AP, but that he still maintained his innocence. A few hours later, the rapper appeared, no longer a fugitive.
With bail now set at $100,000, Yung Joc could spend up to 18 months in jail if he is found guilty.
