Katt Williams offered to refund an entire audience their money after bombing
during a New Year's Eve show - and after the show, he came
out and explained to Chicago’s Power 92 host, Kendra G.
The 34-year-old comedian— who’s starring alongside Ice Cube in David E.
Talbert’s “First Sunday” and is one of the most sought-after comedians
walking right now— debuted new material at Arie Crown Theater, after
showing up an hour and a half late, the radio host reportedly said.
Apparently, a woman in the audience blurted out she wanted a refund, and
Katt didn’t oppose.
After the show, he spoke to Kendra G about the fiasco.
Kendra G: Your first show in Chicago, you gave the whole audience their
money back . . . Why did you do that?
Katt Williams: Same reason they gave it to me in the first place. They
gave it to me right?
Kendra G: So you do that often? Where you just say, “Hey you know what
audience, you guys can walk away with your money, I don’t need it.”
Katt Williams: I never did it before…now would be the time I would be
coming to grips with it but I’m talking to you. Everybody else thinks
it’s pretty dumb, all my people . . . you’re talking about giving
$30,000 [back].
Kendra G: But what inspired to give the whole audience their money back?
Katt Williams: Because somebody said they couldn’t hear. So for people
to say they couldn’t hear all the way through is not tolerable. People
spent hard money.

Uh.. It's Katts Rap CD. Just because he's primarily a comedian doesn't mean his skills are limited to just comedy. He's a comedian, actor and Rapper. Educate yourselves before ya'll speak. I have been waiting for this CD since hearing the songs on Katts myspace page.
I was at the show and yeah it wasn't great but I am still a huge fan. Everyone has made mistakes but true fans forgive. Fair weather fans are just HATERS who have no business talking shit.
I think most of ya'll have a right to be disappointed in the show but to keep tripping on his every move and whining like sorry ass crack whores over his CD, His luxurious hair, his outfit.. Just proves what fair weather hater fans YOU ARE!!. Katt is welcome in Chi Town FOREVER! STOP HATIN!!

I've been listening to the cd that i got at the show.... I LOVE IT!! Katt is a good rapper, there's a song with Paul Wall, Mike Jones, and Katt... Katt is better than both of em!. The song "Mind Right" is hot as hell. And the song "Pop Life" is incredible.. Katt NAILED prince!!! I thought the show was ok.. But the cd is the shit!! I guess he could of put more comedy on the cd but still... I never thought Katt could rap or sing or anything like that.. But he can and he can do it better than alot of the rest out there.

"This is some bulshitt..." yo i f**ks wit katt heavy but i spent almost $600 on 8 tickets for my friends for the holiday and the show was garbage. he aint have no material and it seems like all he was doing was holding conversations with us, not telling any jokes. i was at the 2nd show on Saturday and the damn show aint start til like 1:30 and was supposed to start @ 11:30. We did all that waiting and it wasnt worth it. We left the show @ around 3 in the morning and it was still going on. And I think its f**ked up that the 1st show is getting their money back and I'm just out of $600 dollars. I aint no hustler or balla or no shit like that so that money set me back. It wouldnt have mattered if the show was good but it was terrible. I think he needs to get some better material or find another city to do next new years cuz Chi-town was really upset...My friend and her guy went to the new years eve show and said it was wack too and I thought maybe he was saving all of his good material for that show...nope not even...But I still have my reciept, and I'm gonna try to see what can be done because this makes no sense....

i was at the nye show as well and didn't get my money back. i know he did say he was gonna sit on stage as long as he could and greet the audience, so maybe he gave it back then. i left right when the show was over and all i got was a cd. although i haven't listened to it yet, i heard that was bad too. his show was ok but nowhere near pimp chronicles. i think he was just pissed and whiped out after doing two previous shows. he had mentioned how he just wanted to do the nye show and be gone. he also talked about how his folks kept wanting him to do more shows but that's showbiz. i guess he could've turned them down but he did them so i can't really feel bad for him. maybe he can come back and give a better show.......for a lower price :):)

I was at the first show. It sucked. Period. What Katt Williams & this @ss-kissing DJ left out was this: We could handle him being 40 minutes late but after that, our patience was tested. Also, we could not hear the show because he could not hold the mic up to his mouth for the entire second half of the show. Why? It doesn't take a genius to answer that. If he was that messed up, the show should've been canceled.
At one point, HE WAS TALKING INTO THE MIC STAND, people! Katt even caught himself doing it, and said to us, "Did I really just talk into the mic stand?!"
Being that d@mn high does NOT make you funny. It makes you look stupid.
We were also upset because we thought we were getting a Katt Williams performance. The show was advertised as 'Kat Williams New Year's Eve Show'. We got Kat Williams 1/2 hour in the first part, 2 female comedians for over an hour combined, and fkd up/incoherent/Elmo 'Let's Play Musical Chairs' Katt Williams in the last 35 minutes of the show. In Katt's words: This is just unacceptable.
I don't understand why stories are reporting that he refunded the audience. That is not true. We did NOT get our money back. The cd he gave out was a joke, too. When we turned the cd cover over, we discovered that it was just a compilation of music from different rap artists. The cd did not contain material from his shows or jokes.
