Wu-Tang Clan member U-God is suing the group’s label, Wu Music Group,
alleging the label owes him $170,000. U-God, real name Lamont Jody
Hawkins, claims that Wu Music owes him payment for a tour, albums, and a
European recording contract, TMZ reports. Universal Music Group owns Wu
Music. U-God, who is rumored to be dropping a solo album this year
called Spitta, performed along with rest of Wu-Tang Clan at New York’s
Hammerstein Ballroom on Saturday. The group released their sixth album,
8 Diagrams, in 2007.
