Yes, American Gangster’s Ruby Dee lost… and so did There Will Be Blood. Last night’s 80th Annual Oscars stood out more so for the rekindled flame between the recently striking Writers Guild of America and anyone who thought they could get over on them.
The show, hosted by Jon Stewart, went on without a hitch, and the big winners turned out to be the Coen brothers, who took home the Best Picture Oscar for, No Country for Old Men.
