Bun B plans to release his second solo album Ill Trill (Rap-A-Lot/Asylum) on April 26.
The album comes on the heels of UGK’s seventh album, Underground Kingz, which earned the group two Grammy nominations in 2007.
Bun B’s first solo effort, the Gold Certified, Trill, peaked at number one on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums Billboard chart in 2005.
Bun, currently on a national promotional tour to promote Ill Trill, has partnered with Microsoft Zune on a series of promotional events and programs focusing on making direct connections to his fans on the road, at retail stores and on Zune digital platforms. He is also interacting with music lovers through with Zune Social, an online music community. While on the road, he is making appearances at several Boys & Girls Clubs.
“That’s Gangsta” is the first single featuring Sean Kingston and the album features appearances by Lupe Fiasco, Lil Wayne, 8 Ball and MJG, David Banner, Rick, and the late Pimp C, UGK’s second-half, who died December 4, of an accidental overdose of Promethazine and Codeine, known as “syrup.”
Fans can connect with Bun directly by visiting www.zune.net/bunb and http://social.zune.net/member/BunBIITrill.
