During the reign of Destiny’s Child, the clear people’s choice sex kitten was lead singer Beyonce. But somewhere in the shadows, Kelly Rowland was struggling to get her sex appeal together…that is, upgrade her cup size.
In a March 17 issue of People magazine, Rowland, who’s been dressing more noticeably provocative lately, admitted to having plastic surgery to achieve a fuller bust, going from an A-cup to a B-cup.
“I didn't want to have double Ds and be a little bitty size 2 — that would look nuts!" she told People.
Her reason for getting the surgery was actually simpler. "I was sick of not fitting into my tops," she says. "There was this one really hot House of Dereon top — I just wanted to fill that out!"
Rowland, 27, says that she didn’t want to discuss the surgery, for privacy reasons.
Plastic surgery has most recently come under fire after Dr. Donda West, the mother of rap star Kanye West, died last year due to complications after having a tummy tuck and breast-reduction.
"It is a decision I made for myself. I like it, and that's all that counts,” Rowland says. “For young people: Think about it before you just jump off and do something (you may regret later)."
