Diddy continues to try and win an award for everything short of breathing. The entrepreneur-turned-rapper-turned-fashion mogul will be attempting to win an Emmy at the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards for A Raisin in the Sun, which he starred in as Walter Lee Younger and executive produced.
The made-for-tv-movie debuted in February 2008, just four years after the Broadway revival of the play, which starred Diddy, Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald, and Sanaa Lathan. The cast also reappeared in the television adaptation. Phylicia Rashad and Audra McDonald are in the running for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively, and Combs and his fellow producers are up for Outstanding Made for Television Movie.
The 60th Primetime Emmy Awards will air Sunday September 21, 2008, at 8/7c on ABC.
