The criminal and civil lawsuits against hip hop mogul James J Prince were ordered to be dropped
The Harris County District Attorney dropped charges against Prince due to the lack of false statements made by various witnesses.
The Founder and CEO of Rap-A-Lot Records was charged for assault after allegedly orchestrating an attack on Houston producer Ronnie Bookman. He asserts he was badly beaten during a meeting with Prince by several men at a Fresh Recreation Center Gym that belonged to Prince. Prince vigorously denied assaulting Bookman in a previous interview done with AllHipHop.com. "That dude is a clown. He's always been a clown," Prince told AllHipHop.com. "He knows better than everybody why he got his ass whipped. For him to say I had anything to do with it, he's telling a lie, there's not a bit of truth in it."
A judge will also toss the $10 million lawsuit, which accused Prince of using unnecessary force and intimidation to eradicate competition in the Houston hip hop music scene.
Prince exclaimed gratification and satisfaction with the outcome of the ordeal.
“I always felt like they would be [dropped]...." Prince said in a statement. "It's definitely a blessing to have that confirmed."
