Just days after Ludacris’ latest mixtape, DJ Drama Presents The Preview, hit the Internet, the rapper has come under fire by the media, concerned Democrats, and Republicans looking for any excuse to go on the offensive against likely Democratic Presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama.
On the song entitled “Politics as Usual”, Ludacris calls Hillary Clinton a “bitch”, says the inevitable Republican nominee, John McCain, should be paralyzed in a wheelchair, and President Bush is “mentally handicap.”
Yesterday, Obama spokesman Bill Burton released a statement denouncing Ludacris’ lyrics on the song. Listen to the song here and read the statement from the Obama camp.

As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn't want his daughters or any children exposed to. This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics."
