Usher Kicking Off for the NFL

R&B superstar to perform in New York City for the NFL season opener

Usher is kicking a good game, as he has been slated to set off the 2008 NFL season with a free concert at Columbus Circle in New York City.

On Thursday, September 4, Usher will be performing the live show, which will air on the NFL Network, Sprint’s NFL Mobile Live, and NFL.com. NBC will be airing the footage the next day.

According to Billboard.com, the show, which will also feature country star Keith Urban, will precede the NFL season opener at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. between the Super Bowl champion New York Giants and their division rival, Washington Redskins.
