It looks like the producers of this year’s MTV Video Music Awards show were listening to Kanye West after last year’s VMA’s. Yeezy has been tapped to be the closing act of this year’s ceremony, which airs on Sunday, September 7 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). MTV also announced T.I. and Rihanna will give a debut performance of T.I.’s new single, “Livin’ My Life” from his upcoming album, Paper Trail.
Last year in an infamous rant caught on tape, Kanye West was irate with the way he was treated at the VMA’s. The rapper complained about an overall lack of respect given to him after he was passed up on opening the award’s for Britney Spears. Nor was he given the chance to perform on the main stage.

In related news, Kanye is reportedly releasing his fourth album in December. Though he has said the follow up to his most recent release, Graduation, will be entitled Good Ass Job, reports have said that title has been scrapped. The album’s first single, “Love LockDown”, should be on sale on iTunes on Monday, September 8. VIBE.com also hears he will be performing “Love LockDown” at the VMAs.
