Actor Edward Norton has acquired television rights for a documentary about President-Elect Barack Obama.
The documentary, still untitled, will be directed by Amy Rice and Alicia Sams, and will be produced by Norton’s company Class 5 Films. The movie will document two years worth of exclusive footage, starting at Obama’s stirring speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention, and will also include footage of his upcoming Inauguration.
Four years ago Rice came up with the idea to document history in the making, and Obama agreed to give the team access into his personal and political life.
The documentary is slated for premiere on HBO in 2009.
