It’s no shocker that American homes are being robbed left and right— one can thank the Recession Boogeyman for that. But in London, singer Amy Winehouse is left trying to figure out who recently broke into her usually paparazzi –flanked home.
The break-in comes right after the highly publicized home invasion of Georgia rapper Soulja Boy, who was held at gunpoint the day before New Year’s Eve.
According to CNN, Winehouse was vacationing in the Caribbean for several weeks when two burglars broke into her London home and stole guitars, a flat-screen TV, and recording equipment. According to the singer’s reps, Winehouse is currently on the island of St. Lucia writing music.
Soulja Boy has declined to “dwell” on his home invasion.
"One dude ran in, put the AK (gun) to my homeboy head, put him on the floor,” the rapper has said. “The other two ran in, my homeboy jumped in the other room, so the other two dudes ran back so I peeped in the door and they running through my house with Ks and pistols, so I ducked back.
"I really can't dwell on what happened after that, but it was a messed up situation (and) I'm glad everyone made it out alive."
