Robert Carnes Jr. plans to plea not guilty

The man who allegedly showed former Death Row boss Suge Knight what time it is, is expected to enter a plea of not guilty.

Robert Carnes Jr. has released a statement through his attorney, attempting to clean up the bad guy image he’s been slapped with after his alleged altercation with Knight during All-Star weekend.

"Robert Carnes, Jr. is a well respected executive within the entertainment community and currently serves as one of the management consultants for artist/producer Akon,” the statement read. “Mr. Carnes will be entering a plea of not guilty and looks forward to his day in court where he will have the opportunity to tell his side of the story."

According to TMZ, Knight attended the 944 Magazine All-Star Weekend wrap-up celebration, hosted by Akon, at the W Hotel in Arizona. Hotel security were called over, after a fight broke out. According to police, Knight was punched twice in the head and was later sent to a local hospital for “severe” facial injuries.

Carnes has been charged with one count of felony aggravated assault.
