Singer accuses media of taking his video comments “out of context”

Earlier this week, Usher was commended by media for “taking a stand” for his comments on the Chrianna drama.

"I'm a little disappointed in this photo,” Usher said in a video for Jermaine Dupri’s “Living the Life” series. The singer was referring to the recent Miami jet ski pictures that followed the disturbing images of Rihanna bruised, after her alleged attack from Brown. Both Brown and Rihanna spent the weekend at a home owned by Diddy last week.

“After the other photo (of Rihanna's bruised face)? C'mon, Chris,” Usher continued. “Have a little bit of remorse, man. The man's on jet skis? Like, just relaxing in Miami?"

Now the singer is accusing the media of taking his words out of context and has released a statement apologizing for what he said.

"The comments made during a recent recording session amongst friends were taken out of context and blown out of proportion,” the statement read. “I apologize on behalf of myself and my friends if anyone was offended. The intentions were not to pass judgment and we meant no harm. I respect and wish the best for all parties involved."

Brown, who was charged with making criminal threats, is to be arraigned today.
