Perez Apologizes…But Not Exactly to will.i.am
Perez Hilton caused quite the uproar when he was caught on tape calling will.i.am a “faggot” and caught the attention of GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), who recommended Hilton apologize. It took him a while to get to it, but the whiny blogger has finally released an apology. "I am apologizing to the gay community, to anyone who was hurt by my choice of words," he said. "The 'F' word will never be uttered from my lips again." Earlier this week, things got ugly outside an afterparty for the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto between Hilton and will.i.am. Hilton posted on his Twitter page: "I was assaulted by will.i.am of The Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.” Though information on what actually happened that night is unknown, will.i.am released a video on his blog stating that he didn’t touch the dude. Perez responded with his own blog, where he called will.i.am a “coward and a disgusting human being for lying." Hilton has since filed a civil suit against Black Eyed Peas manager, Polo Molina, for the alleged assault. Link
Wyclef Takes Lauryn Hill’s Place at Jazz Fest
Clearly, the organizers of the Montreux Jazz Festival are Fugees fans. Apparently, Lauryn Hill unexpectedly canceled her July European gigs during the leg of the tour, and she has been replaced, for the Switzerland show, by none other than Wyclef. Link
