Nas vs. Kelis: The Divorce Drama Unfolds
We knew that the divorce proceedings between hip hop’s former hot couple, Nas and Kelis, was going to be ugly…but not this ugly! Kelis has come out and outright claimed that she doesn’t have two pennies to rub together, thanks to Nas allegedly leaving her broke and pregnant. Kelis has filed legal papers stating that Nas hasn’t provided her any money for pre-natal care. "My survival is based on [Nas'] will at this time. If he does not want to pay for an expense, it does not get paid,” TMZ reported Kelis saying. Why Kelis doesn’t have her own finances outside of Nas, remains to be seen. Link
R. Kelly Plans Africa Tour
R. Kelly is about to visit the Mother Land, for his first ever tour. The R&B honcho is scheduled to attend the ARISE African Fashion Awards on June 20, and is set to perform during the finale of their fashion week. He’s then embarking on a multi-city tour that covers Nigeria, South Africa, and London. Kellz recently dropped a mixtape using Auto-Tune. It ignited criticism from one of his protégé’s, Trey Songz, who responded to the mixtape with “D.O.A.,” a play on Jay-Z’s “D.O.A.” R. Kelly never responded. Link
