He wasn’t just a brilliant singer and dancer, he also had a keen flair for the dramatic, and that played perfectly into MTV’s hands as the all-music channel emerged in the ’80s. “Thriller”


From Jackson’s colossal 1982 album, Thriller (Epic), the title track’s horror short film, directed by John Landis, propelled Jackson from superstar to legend.
