Read what all three athletes, who personify Webster’s definition of the word, say about being incapable of being overcome.

How are you invincible?

Ben Gordon: Every player has a moment where, you know, they feel that they can't be stopped or they're invincible. So, mine was, the role I play for my team, coming off the bench and especially in the fourth quarter of the games and playing the way I do. It fit well into the whole theme.

Tell me a little bit about the [Nike] shoot.

Ben Gordon: Well, it was pretty interesting. They brought me down to this old steel mill in Chicago. It looked like something you [see] in a movie, you know. Everything was all old and beat up and they had me walking through these tunnels and barrels of fire, just walking around with this mean look on my face, not really saying anything.

So, you think the boot feels very strong and invincible? Have you worn it in the elements of Chicago at all?

Ben Gordon: I only got to wear them for that photo shoot. But I can tell, being in Chicago and weather with the snow and the ice and everything, that the boot would be more than good enough for the weather we have out here. So it is definitely a great boot, especially for the wintertime.

At this stage of your career right now, and being part of this campaign, it feels like you're coming into your own. Are you feeling like you're at that point, considering the symbolism of the campaign?

Ben Gordon: Yeah. I definitely feel like I'm starting to emerge as one of the young talented players in the league. To have Nike go out of their way and put me in this campaign with two other established athletes is motivational for me, because it lets me know that there are greater things to come if I just continue to work hard.

How do you feel invincible?

Michael Vick:The definition to the word invincible, is basically me and my game. Not being able to be touched… smooth, swift. Being that guy who makes it hard, makes it tough on opponents and does certain things that the average person can't do, the average player can't do. Where you can find that word and you want to put it in the same category as Mike Vick, it almost explains itself because if you watch my game and watch the way I play, that's what you get, invincible. I've been doing that for five years, so, this is almost believing that I can't be able to be touched or dealt with….that's invincible.

How do you become invincible and how have you become invincible?

Serena Williams: I think in order to become invincible, in anything, you have to work hard and have goals for yourself and set goals and just not give up and try to reach them.

Did anyone ever tell you, when you were growing up, that you couldn't do what you're doing now?

Serena Williams: There were a lot of people that would tell me and my sister that we couldn't be tennis players and what we couldn't do. Even now I hear every day, ‘Okay, you can't do fashion and you can't play tennis and you can't act.’ I'm just out to prove everyone wrong.
