T.I.: I Wish...

VIBE: For the year 2005, is there any concert that you wish that you did attend?

T.I.: Yeah, I think the Alicia Keys concert.

And is there any particular reason why?

Nah, I was just really looking forward to seeing her perform live.

Yeah, she’s a good performer. Did you get to see her unplugged?

Ah, nah. I didn’t get to see that.

Yeah, that was pretty good. Is there any places that you wished you had performed at or toured to for the year 2005?

You said if there is any place that I wish I performed?

Yeah, or that you toured this year?

I don’t understand your question. Do you mean any state?

Yeah, any state or any country, anywhere.

I wish I could’ve went overseas this year, but I didn’t.

Are there any hobbies that you wish you had more time to do?

Ah, nah. I probably wish I had more time with my kids.

Aww, that’s so nice. Are there any places that you wish you had visited or vacationed to this year?

Uh, let me see…. I mean really I don’t vacation much. I didn’t really get a chance to vacation. Well actually, yeah I did. A little light weight vacation. Nah, I just wish I would’ve went anywhere I never went.

Anywhere else?

Yeah, anywhere else besides where I went man.

Were there any songs or any tracks that you wish you were able to be a part of? Any song that you thought was hot and you wished that you were on there?

(T.I. repeats my questions in a thinking manner)

A song that you were feeling the beat and you really knew that if you were on this track, you would’ve killed it or really did a good job rhyming on it?

(He Laughs) Man. Wish is a real strong word.

Yeah, it’s really a strong word, but at the same time it let’s your mind expand to things that you wish you did but you didn’t and maybe the following year you probably would get to do. Hopefully when you see this in the magazine and read it…

I think one of the sickest beats of the year was probably “Hate it or Love It” by 50 and Game or “Drop It Like Its Hot.” For real.

Yeah, I liked “Drop It Like Its Hot.” Were there any songs that you were hoping to hear a remix from?

Nah, not really.

Was there any food that you wish you hadn’t eaten this year?

What? (chuckling) Are you serious?

Yeah, any food that you had eaten this year that was just horrible?

Food that I haven’t or had eaten?

Food that you ate but you wish you never did eat.

Nah.

Is there anything that you regret buying this year?

(T.I. repeats my question)

Yeah, something that you bought and was like, ‘I don’t even know why I bought this. This is just such a waste.'

Uhhh. Let’s see. Let’s see. This year. I mean, I just spent a lot of money period, you know what I’m saying? I can’t really say that it was a waste. But I don’t really regret it.

So, no regrets about any purchases this year?

Nah man.

Well that’s pretty good. Is there any NBA team that you wished won the finals this year, but they didn’t?

I wish the Heat would’ve won.

Is there any question that you wish people would’ve stopped asking you this year?

Aaaah. (laughing a lot). There’s a gang of them… ‘What T.I. stand for? Why am I the king of the south?” Let me see. What other question I can’t stand? Man, there’s a bunch of them to, but I ain’t gonna remember them off hand. I don’t know, but them the ones that stick out the most. Those are the most significant ones I can think of.

That’s cool. Is there any movie that you wish you saw this year, that came out this year?

You mean in the movies or just seen period?

In the movies.

Well, I haven’t really seen any movies. I work honey.

You gotta have some free time.

Nah.

We got to get you some DVDs I guess.

Yeah, I got plenty of those. I just don’t get to go to the movies.

Any DVD’s that came out this year that you wish you would’ve saw in the movies?

Let me see. What was one of the best movies this year?

Crash. Did you see that?

Nah, I haven’t seen it.

You have to get the DVD, that movie is perfect.

Is there anyone you wish you could’ve vacationed with this year? Any special person, maybe your family. Anybody that you wish you could’ve just kicked back with?

I wanted to take my kids to Disney World this year, but it didn’t happen.

(Interrupted) So, you were saying that you wanted to take your kids to Disney World?

Yeah. My kids and my momma.

Aww. That’s nice. Is there any celebrity or producer that you wished you had the chance to work with this year that you didn’t get a chance to work with?

Uh. It’s a few of them man. Outkast, Dr. Dre, and Timbaland.

Is there one thing that you wish people knew about you, that they don’t know about you?

I feel like whatever is not known or not made public, is probably best kept secret.

You’re right. That was a good answer. Is there anything that you wish your cell phone did this year? Like maybe make six phone calls at once.

You have very interesting questions. You know that?

Thank you. I really took pride in setting these questions out. There’s a lot of things people wish for, but you never really get the time to really think about it.

I haven’t wished for any of the things. Let me see. I wish it wouldn’t drop calls.

And is there anything you’re wishing to get this Christmas?

I don’t get nothing for Christmas. I just wish my family and friends be straight and healthy.

And if you had one wish for the whole year for 2005 that could come true right now, what would it be?

I wish everybody around me made as much money as me this year, that would keep you rich.
